Joel Fox grew up in Ojai, CA. He taught himself BASIC at age 8, but that was all he could figure out.  He studied at Sonoma State University and CalArts where he got am MFA in interactive media 1997.  Later, he taught in the CalArts MFA design program.  Joel worked in corporate identity and has created graphics for over 100 mediocre commercials.  After that he moved into children’s television where he made fantastic segments for over 100 episodes of outstanding children’s television on Disney, Nickelodeon, and The Hub. Joel’s most well known work was with Yo Gabba Gabba, where he made many of the show’s dazzling moments.  Joel recently moved back to Ojai where he continues his art practice and makes video segments for various brands.
